Captive Conservation: Saving Species Through Captive Breeding & Reintroduction Programs
CAPTIVE CONSERVATION is an educational segment of The Jungle Jenny Show which discusses what organizations are doing around the world to protect and save species from extinction through captive breeding and reintroduction programs.
Our host, Jungle Jenny shows how protecting these species also contributes to a thriving, healthy planet for people’s health and well-being—from forests that slow climate change and filter water to oceans that provide more than 1/6 of the world’s food.
JJ encourages others to get involved, take action, spread the word, and support these organizations and become a partner in conservation.
Jungle Jenny learns about Project Survival’s (CATHAVEN) efforts to build a Cheetah Center at the Soysambu Conservancy in Kenya, Africa. The center will house and raise orphaned or non-releasable cheetahs in captivity. Please visit and volunteer at this center, which will benefit the local Kenyan economy. Donations are needed for this project!
